The pure product appears as white crystals. Its melting point is 71–72°C, with a vapor pressure of 2.933 × 10⁻⁴ Pa (20°C) and a relative density of 1.21 (20°C). It is soluble in a variety of organic solvents, with a solubility of 65% in methanol and 0.71% in water at 20°C. The compound is relatively stable in both acidic and neutral media. The original powder is yellow to brownish in color, with a flash point of 155°C (closed-cup method). It is neither flammable nor explosive, and it exhibits no corrosive properties.
It is a systemic fungicide used as a treatment for tobacco, rubber trees, grapes, hops, melons, fruits, vegetables, and more.
