  • Product description

    Pure product is a white crystal, while the industrial grade appears as a white powder. Melting point: 233–235°C. It is soluble in organic solvents such as alcohols, ketones, and esters, as well as in phosphate buffer solution at pH 6.3; however, it is poorly soluble in ethers, chloroform, benzene, and water.

     

    Gibberellins are a class of plant hormones characterized by a gibberellane ring structure, which promote plant growth. They induce stem elongation, trigger bolting and flowering in long-day plants even under short-day conditions, break seed dormancy, enhance fruit set and parthenocarpy, and also stimulate processes such as cell division and differentiation.
