The pure substance is a colorless liquid. Its boiling point is 135°C at 0.1 Pa, with a relative density of 1.076 (at 20°C) and a vapor pressure of 0.133 × 10⁻³ Pa. It is highly soluble in most organic solvents but exhibits limited solubility in water, dissolving at only 50 mg/L at 20°C. Its partition coefficient (n-octanol/water) is 12,020. The compound remains stable when stored at room temperature for up to 2 years. At 20°C, its hydrolysis half-life ranges from 200 days (pH 1–9) to 14 days (pH 13), while in soil, the half-life is between 20 and 50 days.
Effective against weeds such as Cyperus difformis, Echinochloa crus-galli, Monochoria vaginalis, and Juncus effusus in rice fields.
