Flupyrsulfuron-methyl is a colorless crystal with a melting point of 55–57°C, a vapor pressure of 0.80 mPa (25°C), and a log Kow value of 4.07. Its Henry's law constant is 3.23 × 10⁻² Pa·m³/mol (calculated value), and its solubility in water is 9.3 mg/L (25°C). In other solvents, its solubility (kg/kg, 20°C) is as follows: 4.0 kg/kg in acetonitrile, 3.5 kg/kg in acetone, 3.0 kg/kg in dichloromethane, and 1.27 kg/kg in xylene.
Highly effective fluazifop-P-butyl can be used to control annual grassy weeds such as barnyardgrass, foxtail, crabgrass, wild oats, goosegrass, wild millet, digit grass, annual bluegrass, downy brome, barley species, awnless barnyardgrass, and ryegrass. It is also effective against perennial grassy weeds like creeping bentgrass, reed canarygrass, false sorghum, common reed, and Bermuda grass. The herbicide provides excellent control of both annual and perennial grassy weeds from the post-emergence stage through tillering and early heading, but it is ineffective against broadleaf weeds and sedges.
