Pure product is a white solid with an m.p. of 191°C, a vapor pressure of 3.0 × 10⁻⁶ Pa (25°C), and a relative density of 1.03 (20°C). Its partition coefficient is 4.25, and it exhibits a solubility of 1 mg/L in water at 25°C. It is slightly soluble in organic solvents. The compound remains stable when stored for 7 days at 94°C, and its aqueous solution—pH 7 at 25°C—is photostable under illumination.
A novel insect molting accelerator, specifically effective against Lepidoptera insects and their larvae, while also demonstrating moderate activity against selected Diptera species and Daphnia. It is a safe and ideal treatment option. The optimal time for application is during the egg-hatching stage.
