Industrial products are all colorless to light-brown liquids with high volatility. At room temperature, they dissolve at 1% in water and 2%–3% in kerosene. They are soluble in organic solvents, readily undergo hydrolysis, and decompose even more rapidly in the presence of alkalis.
A fast-acting, broad-spectrum organophosphate insecticide and acaricide that exerts potent fumigant, stomach-poisoning, and contact-killing effects against pests and spider mites. It features high efficacy, rapid action, a short residual period, and no detectable residue. However, it is toxic to birds, fish, and honeybees.
